The Hertfordshire Bowls U25 Junior Team played Bedfordshire CBA
in the Bowls England White Rose Trophy Two Fours Competition |

The match was very competitive with Hertfordshire edging ahead in
the early stages. Bedfordshire team rallied with the rink skipped by |

Chris Kane pulling back a 7 shot deficit and turning it into a 5
shot lead. 12 shots in 3 ends turned the match for Bedfordshire who then
|

took the lead. Towards the finish Hertfordshire rallied and at 17
ends were 1 shot ahead giving the Bedfordshire lads a bit of a scare |

however, they answered to the call of Team Manager Rhys and ran
out a 7 shot victory at the finish. |

the members helped to make the occasion a memorable one for |

all who attended and the hospitality shown to all the players and
spectators was a credit to the club. |

Following a splendid buffet lunch at the club the players went on
their way from another epic match on the green. |

Hertfordshire were pleased with their performance but
disappointed to lose. Bedfordshire were extremely relieved |

to have won the match and happy to move onto Worthing in August to
try and lift the trophy. |
