ANNOUNCEMENT - 2010 Middleton Cup Squad
Hertfordshire Bowls will be represented by a squad of 30 players for this programme and all players are expected to be available for
all of the above dates including the quarter finals and finals at Worthing. Should any player have difficulty on any of these dates
they should notify the team manager, John Hay as soon as they are aware of a potential problem or difficulty.
Dress Code
All players and officials representing Hertfordshire Bowls are expected to adhere to the dress code published in the Association
Handbook under match rules.
Home matches
Players are expected to make their own arrangements for travel to Shire Park BC for home matches.

Travel to away matches
Travel to away matches will be by coach and all players and officials are expected to travel on the coach. On 5th June 2010 the
coach will depart from Hatfield BC at 11.00hrs. Please be advised that there is no parking at Hatfield BC as the club have a match
that day. You are requested to make your own arrangements re-parking of private vehicles.
The coach will leave Northampton for the return journey after the post match meal.
Catering
Players and officials are advised to bring packed lunches with them for consumption on arrival at the club and at least an hour before
commencement of play at 14.00hrs. A post match meal will be provided & all players and officials are expected to be in attendance.
Team Meeting
There will be a team meeting for all players in the squad and officials before all matches at 13.30hrs at a suitable meeting point at the
club. All should be ready for the meeting at this time.
Match Day
All players are advised to be prepared for all kinds of weather on the day and should have the necessary shoes, clothing, (whites
and County shirts and ALL WHITE waterproofs), medication, food/drinks/water that they require when playing the match. Those
players not selected to play will be allocated a rink and will be the support for that particular rink on the day as well as other team
duties which will be advised on the day.

I would like to congratulate all the players who have been selected to represent Hertfordshire Bowls in the Middleton Cup squad for
2010. The team to play at Northampton will be announced on Friday 4th June 2010.
For the players who have represented Hertfordshire Bowls in the trial match and Eastern Counties League matches and who have not
been selected this season I would say thank you for your support and commitment already and whilst I know you will be
disappointed please do not give up trying.
